Role Responsibilities:


  • You lead and support cabin crew teams of 2 to 4 onboard A319, A320 and F100 aircraft, creating a positive team environment and ensuring everyone works confidently and efficiently together.
  • You take responsibility for safety, service and compliance on every flight. You guide the operation, make decisions when needed, and maintain the standards expected across the Qantas Group. 
  • You oversee the full inflight experience, from boarding to arrival. You monitor timing, coordinate with flight crew and ground teams, and ensure customers experience a smooth and professional journey. 
  • You help crew build their skills through feedback, guidance and support. You reinforce consistent, high-quality performance across safety, service and teamwork. 
  • You set the example through your presentation, behaviour and decision making. Your professionalism shapes the onboard culture and influences how your crew deliver the experience. 


How you'll lead the Qantas way: 


  • You maintain absolute focus on safety, lead compliance, and guide your crew through structured, calm responses in abnormal or unexpected situations. You ensure SOPs and policies are consistently followed and set the tone for a safe aircraft environment. 
  • You support crew wellbeing and performance through coaching, feedback and role modelling. You build confidence in your team, help them grow in their roles, and foster a positive, motivated environment on every sector. 
  • You drive a premium, consistent customer experience by setting clear expectations, maintaining high standards, and guiding your crew to deliver service that reflects the Qantas brand. 
  • You communicate decisively and respectfully with crew, flight crew, ground teams and customers. You adapt your approach depending on the situation, ensuring smooth coordination and strong relationships across the operation. 
  • You take accountability as the onboard leader, stay composed in a fast moving environment, and make confident, timely decisions that balance safety, customer experience and operational requirements. 


Minimum Requirements:


  • Experience as Cabin Crew
  • Previous experience supervising or managing operational teams is essential
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • A commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer service excellence
  • Ability to reach a minimum of 212cm (barefoot, both hands simultaneously)
  • Maximum height of 186cm
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or must be able to obtain)
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate (or must be able to obtain)
  • Good overall health and fitness, including the ability to swim and tread water unassisted
  • Minimum 18 years of age
